She left Haiti to United States at an early age. In College, she majored in Languages and Education.
For more than 20 years, she has been living in Haiti and indulges herself in Literature and Education.
For Evelyne, writing in Haiti, is step forward against ugliness, mediocrity and laziness for a better future .
Her first publication was: La chambre Interdite in 1996 Chez L Harmattan .
Since then, she had published short poems, and short stories and tales for children.
Her firs novel, Rosalie L infame, Dapper, 2003 depicts the historical essence of slavery and portrays slaves around 1750 as individuals with their passions, weaknesses, and courage.
Her second novel L Oeil-Totem was dedicated to her grand-mother mother and all the women pass on history and culture from generation to generation.
