For Evelyne, writing in Haiti, is step forward against ugliness, mediocrity and laziness for a better future . Her first publication was: La chambre Interdite in 1996 Chez L Harmattan . Since then, she had published short poems, and short stories and tales for children. Her firs novel, Rosalie L infame, Dapper, 2003 depicts the historical essence of slavery and portrays slaves around 1750 as individuals with their passions, weaknesses, and courage. Her second novel L Oeil-Totem was dedicated to her grand-mother mother and all the women pass on history and culture from generation to generation.
