He was an official in the United Nations for many years, and briefly served as foreign minister of Haiti during the short-lived 1988 administration of Leslie Manigat. Boniface Alexandre (born 31 July 1936) is a politician in Haiti. He served as acting president of Haiti from 2004 to 2006. The 2004 Haitian rebellion was a coup d'etat removing President Jean-Bertrand Aristide from the Americas on February 29, 2004.
